- About Us
Our family has been served by the McNeill funeral home for many generations. In 2010, our family chose to pre-pay for our parents services with McNeill Mackie Funeral home, when our father was placed in the nursing facility. From the first encounter, Mr Duncan Mackie treated us with dignity and respect. He allowed us to follow our parents wishes for the type of service they wanted, the caskets they wished to be buried in, even the visitation and graveside services they wanted. There was never any push to buy more than we could afford. When Daddy died, 5 months later, we were treated again with dignity and respect. Our family, being spread out in all directions, were allowed to come together and pay our final respects for our father in harmony and love for him and our mother.
Eight years later, our mother died in Pennsylvania while living in our home. Mr Mackie reached out to a funeral home in Ellwood City and made arrangements to treat our mother with respect and dignity. We made the trip back to North Carolina with her body and she too was laid to rest with our father. Our family came together to share in a meaningful good-by and celebration of her life. The funeral home staff; Mr Mackie, Steve, Joe and Jean took care of our every need during this very difficult time. From the visitations, to the flowers, to the service, to the calls after and even today with the Grief daily messages. We are eternally grateful to the services and friendship provided by the McNeill Mackie Funeral Home during our time of need.
We are always interested in hearing from the families that we serve. Please take a moment to let us know how well we served you in your time of need. We very much appreciate your feedback.
